BUILD TWO


Build 2 has just released, and everyone is ecstatic. Anyway, I'll rant about the creation, since that's what you're here for, right?


Build 1 was a massive flop, more or less, but I was surprised how many people actually got it, even if it was so insignificant. I realize my first mistake was being so caught up on the idea of making my First C++ Project!! rather than making a sustainable product.

Everything was dormant until a user, who we will just call TG started speaking in the support channel. Since it was very early in the morning, I thought "okay, I'll do it." And so I went to work fixing this bug, but since it was my grandiose First C++ Project!! it was incredibly over-engineered, and written like garbage. I decided it is time I port the project to Python, so that iteration is that much easier, and after spending the entire day doing so, I successfully ported the project to Python, and fixed his issue along the way. I initially wanted to change to Python because of another user who sent me a Json::RuntimeError. Since C++ is a well polished fossil, I find it incredibly hard to find information on topics that pertain to my projects, and I have much more experience using JSON in Python rather than C++.

With all that said, Build 2 is out, and all rejoice as the project is in Python, and I can actually start iterating on the project, that way I can roll out updates!

And expect Linux support, since that is also much easier for me now. Though I'm probably cursing myself by stating that.
